AI Mirror [Everything Diffusion] is an experimental video installation that explores the aesthetic and ethical dimensions of generative artificial intelligence (AI). While working on this project I developed a “hacking” approach to popular AI text-to-image platforms like MidJourney by integrating open-source references—images of glaciers, snow, and water. This technique highlights the limitations and possibilities of the medium while drawing attention to the ecological cost of generative technologies. During the creative process I also tried to incorporate AI’s characteristic glitches, distortions, and symmetry disruptions ito the installation, revealing its “hallucinations” and imperfections.
In effect, the work raises questions about AI’s role in contemporary art, its potential for self-awareness, and the broader impact of technology on visual culture and the environment. More about the project and methodology here.
Presentation: The installation is designed for flexible screenings, adapting to various spaces and screen sizes, includes an audiodescription in PL/EN, making it accessible to the blind and visually impaired (see my Agile Art Manifesto).
