Dual AI Mirror (2025) is a dual-channel video installation expanding on the concepts explored in the Everything Diffusion series (2024-). Two juxtaposed screens flow in constant dialogue, drawing on data and image diffusion, glitch visualizations, distortions, and characteristic flaws of generative AI. The work invites reflection on technology’s impact on our perception of reality and the boundaries of human-machine coexistence. Using precise prompts and public domain reference imagery, I examine AI’s potential for self-reflection while highlighting its limitations. Also, I am addressing the aesthetic and ecological challenges of generative AI, and critically explore the opaque nature of these technologies and their influence on contemporary visual culture (more about the project and methodology on AI Mirror subpage).
Presentation: The installation is designed for flexible screenings, adapting to various spaces and screen sizes, and its dynamic interaction with the environment allows for evolving experiences in each exhibition. Read more about my approach in Agile Art Manifesto.
Project recognition: the video was selected as a semi-finalist in 2025 Austin AI Film Festival. It was also nominated in the Best Experimental Short Film category during AFF International Film Festival in Toronto (2025).
